Spring 2013: Bobbi Brown Lilac Rose Collection.

After a little bit of an unplanned spring break, I am back and spring makeup is definitely on my mind. This new Bobbi Brown Lilac Rose Collection is everything that spring makeup is supposed to be: fresh, beautiful and gorgeous on everyone. Bobbi’s taken this season’s prettiest trend and added her own modern and super fresh twist.

I have to admit that when I fist heard the name lilac, I had visions of the products being overly purple, which is a color I just cannot wear well. I was so wrong. The lilac is a soft version of lavender and the closest to purple product here is the Lilac Sparkle Eye Shadow and I adore it. It is beautiful on the eye lid with a gray or black liner. I actually like to use it on the inner corner of the eye and right under the arch of my brow, where I would normally use a highlighting pink shade. The lilac is definitely a fresher, and updated look. It really makes me look awake and ready to take on spring.

If you buy anything, the Lilac Rose Eye Palette is a must. It contains eight very wearable shades in colors you will wear all year long. The shadows are silky smooth, very pigmented and last all day. I also highly recommend the Shimmer Brick, because I am just obsessed with them. Really, this Lilac Rose Shimmer Brick is beautiful. It gives skin a bright, flushed look that is naturally beautiful with a hint of shimmer. And if you are looking for a super special new spring product, then the Sparkle Eye Shadow in Lilac Rose is a must; it is unexpectedly one of my favorite products that I have tried in a long while.
