About Teri Cosenzi

I'm Teri, a beauty blogging pioneer who launched Beautiful Makeup Search in 2001, making myself one of the first voices to share expert beauty advice online.

Beyond my love for beauty, I am deeply rooted in my family life. I enjoy shopping for makeup with my daughter Caci and sister Cindi, creating memories one lipstick swatch at a time. When I am not immersed in beauty, you might find me hanging out with one of my three sons.

Me and my husband of 35 years love to travel, often escaping to our second home in sunny Florida. At home, I also find joy in baking, decorating, entertaining, and indulging in my love for fancy med spa treatments (because self-care is always in style!). My dog Peanut is my constant cuddle companion, adding a dose of sweetness to my busy life.

About Product Reviews

Reviews are published at our discretion, ensuring that only honest and authentic opinions are shared. We typically work 4–6 weeks in advance for most products.

If you are a brand or public relations representative interested in submitting a product for review, please contact us at teri@beautifulmakeupsearch.com. For time-sensitive campaigns or inquiries about guaranteed placement, we welcome the opportunity to collaborate.

With a proven track record of successful partnerships, we have worked with hundreds of satisfied clients, agencies, networks, and brands to deliver impactful results. Let's discuss how we can work together!

About Our Opinions

Our reviews reflect our honest and unbiased opinions and will not be compromised under any circumstances. The views expressed in product reviews and other content are entirely our own.

Please note that individual experiences may vary, and we cannot assume responsibility for outcomes that differ from our own.

About Linking

We use automatic affiliate linking services to support and monetize our site. For linking, that means we don't have control over all the links in our site or exactly where they link (ie. a MAC product linking to nordstrom instead of maccosmetics) though links will be relevant to the topic. We do manually insert and include relevant links in articles as needed. The rest of the links are for monetization only and cannot be changed. For specific links to stores and sites that advertorial in nature, those are considered sponsored content. Please contact us for more information.

We own all of our content unless otherwise quoted or noted. You may only link to our page; you may not copy, republish, sell or distribute any of our content.

About Original Photography and Swatching

We strive to provide accurate and representative photographs of the products featured on our site. All images are either original photography created by us or provided with permission for our use. Please note that our original photography is copyrighted and may not be used without explicit permission.

While we occasionally include product swatches, this is rare. Makeup swatches can appear drastically different depending on individual skin tones and undertones, making them an inconsistent representation of how a product will truly look. Additionally, variations in computer monitor calibration can significantly alter how colors are perceived on-screen versus in person. For example, my daughter and I can apply the same lipstick, gloss, eyeshadow, or blush, and it will often look entirely different on each of us—and almost never identical to a digital swatch.

Our goal is to provide helpful and realistic insights into the products we feature, recognizing the unique experiences each individual may have with them.

A swatch can be used as a guide, but we have wasted our own money by buying off of a swatch and would never want to mislead readers.
