Essential Eyes.

I have never had the privilege to use any of Make Up For Ever's products, so you will understand my excitement when I finally tried a great kit of theirs - The Essential Eye Set.

makeupforever.jpgThe Essential Eyes Set is a limited edition kit, only available at Sephora. In simple terms, this kit contains everything to create a basic eye look - with multiple variations.

The set includes 3 neutral brown shades, an iridescent yellow beige, a metallic taupe, and an iridescent brown black. It also contains two Star Powders, which are loose powders similar to a MAC pigment or Bare Escentuals Eye Shadow, in a pearly gold and an iridescent beige. It also includes waterproof Pearly Eye liner in black. Oh and there is also a DVD included with tips from Dany Sanz, the makeup artist behind the brand.

For the daytime, I really like the yellow-beige shade all over with the metallic taupe in the crease of my lid.  I add a bit of either of the Star Powders right in the middle of my brow bone, and sometimes right on the inside corner of my eye, by my tear duct, to brighten it all up. To jazz that look up, I add the darkest black-brown in the crease or use it as an eye liner, if I don't feel like using the pencil.

If you know someone who loves playing with eye makeup, or perhaps someone who is pretty much a novice, then this set is for them.

The value of this set is a whopping $123, but it retails for just $60.

I can't wait to try more from Make Up For Ever.
