Getting Healthy with Nutrisystem: Week 15.
/After hitting what I thought was a plateau last week and making a few changes to become successful again this week (yay!), I did a bit of thinking to figure out what has made me successful on Nutrisystem thus far. I think the one thing that has been super important that helps me in every which way is drinking a lot of water.
It is recommended to drink at least eight 8oz. glasses of water each day while on Nutrisystem. I drink so much more water than that. I recently added a water cooler to my office and figured a five gallon jug of water would last me a few weeks. I was so wrong. A five gallon jug of water lasts me less than a week. I was SHOCKED to figure out that I actually drink almost a gallon of water a day. I'll admit that I do spend a lot of time in the bathroom, but I am also constantly back to the cooler grabbing another glass of water. I use it for my cup of tea in the morning. I use it to my make milkshake. I use it whenever I feel hungry. I drink a full glass before each meal and I'm sure to drink a full glass with each meal as well. I swear this helped me to be as successful as I have been.
And that plateau that I though I hit? I made one little change as suggested the counselors at Nutrisystem, and that was to change up my lunch and dinner few times a week. It was suggested that I eat lunch at dinner time and dinner at lunch time. I did that three times this week and I think that did the trick! I lost 2.5 pounds this week, making my total weight loss to date 24.5 pounds! I was shocked and pretty proud to see the number that I did on my scale this week.
