In case you have not heard, BB Creams are all the rage. A BB Cream is hybrid type product that wears like a tinted moisturizer, but offers so much more in the way of ingredients and skin care benefits. I have grown to love a few of the BB Creams that I have tried, but keep reading about more that I really want to keep trying more. I think it's a really great time to discover a favorite BB Cream now too. It makes for a perfect summer-time all-in-one product that covers, heals and protects; all while being lightweight in the heat.
Here is a mix of 8 BB Creams that are bound to be on the top of your must-have list. This list is a mix of my faves and others that are on my list to try.
1. NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF30/PA+++
Though not officially called a BB Cream, I am dubbing it the first French BB Cream. It comes in a beautiful range of forgiving shades, that has me looking more alive than I have in months.
2. Boscia B.B. Cream SPF 27 PA++
When first applying this BB Cream, it feels like a primer, but it looks so much better as it really evens out my skin tone and makes it look more alive. I was initially worried that the shade was a bit too light for my self-tan, but it blended seamlessly into my skin.
3. Dr. Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm
This beauty balm is made with 50% water with Dr. Jart's Advanced Water Bead Technology which hydrates and maintains healthy moisture for a dewy, fresh look on the skin all day long. This oil-free formula contains an SPF 25, which is essential.
4. Stila Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Beauty Balm
This balm makes skin look overall better. My skin looks brighter, wrinkles and lines are diffused, and I really like the anti-aging properties that the formula contains. It looks better than your average tinted moisturizer with it's light feel, and offers a very light coverage. The only downfall of this one is that is does not offer an SPF.
5. 3LAB Perfect BB SPF40 Cream
This BB Cream is packed with a ton of ingredients to not only prime and cover imperfections, this is designed to firm and lift the skin, regenerate new skin cells, brighten, moisturize, and protect. It glides on smooth with a slightly silicone-y feel. Somewhat like a primer, but more like a moisturizer. 3LAB’s signature bio-engineered growth hormone and apple stem cell technology is at the heart of this cream, making it a phenomal treatment.
6. Clinique Age Defense BB Cream SPF 30
This instant morning routine gives skin just about everything it needs for a quick start. SPF protection, antioxidants for prevention, plus enough coverage to banish imperfections. This comes in 3 shades. The darkest shade, 03, blends perfectly into my self-tanned skin.
7. Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35
I am hearing rave reviews on this BB Cream and the fact that this one comes in five shades makes me realizing that I need to try this, if only for that fact alone. I have an issue with many of the BB Creams being too light and I know that one of the darker shades will be perfect for me. Camera Ready moisturizes, primes, perfects, controls oil, and protects for flawless skin. Formulated with emollients and optical pearl pigments, this one is said to give skin a glowing, ethereal look and provides a hydrating veil for the complexion to maintain moisture on the surface of the skin.
8. Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector B.B. Cream
This drugstore BB Cream is on my must buy list. It is so readily available, and the two color choices look like they would be easy to blend into a wide variety of skin tones. This hybrid formula says that it renews radiance, brightens complexion, evens skin tone, hydrates and protects with SPF15 UVA/UVB sunscreen.
