The 2009 CEW Beauty Awards.
/The highlight of my trip to New York last week, which just so happens to be one of the best things about my career in beauty writing, is the CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) Beauty Awards.
This was my 8th year in attendance to the CEW Beauty Product Demonstration and it is the night for beauty lovers. With almost 600 products from 280 brands being demonstrated, I got to touch, feel, smell, and experience the best in beauty. It is so fun to see which brands submit which products. At the same time, it is very exciting to discover new products and brands. Some brands that I have yet to hear of. Products I have yet to try.
All together, there are 28 categories which are broken down into Mass and Prestige categories.
Of the products I have yet to try, I have my eyes on the following...
CHANEL Précision Balance Rinse-Off Foaming Mousse Cleanser - This felt so wonderful on my hand as it took off the makeup I had tested out on it before trying.
Kate Somerville Exfolikate - I have read so much about this and was even more intrigued once I got a tiny test of it at the demonstration.
Nature Pure Labs Black Currant Anti-Aging Instant Energizer - This is a brand I never heard of, and if this cleanser is any indication of how well the products work, I can't wait to check out even more from them. The cleanser foams up as it is clearing out the toxins from the skin and it feels insanely wonderful. And I only used it for about 30 seconds on my hand. I cannot wait to give this a full on try.
Aveeno Intense Relief Repair Cream - This feels so rich and creamy, perfect for just about anywhere, but especially for use on the drier areas such as feet, hands, elbows, etc. I need this and will be testing it out soon.
Dr. Andrew Weil for OriginsTM The Way of the BathTM Matcha Tea Body Soak - My new master bedroom bathroom is almost ready and I will be mocing in this week. I will be picking this up asap and jumping into my new tub with it.
AB Skincare AB 10% Glycolic Treatment Pads - I have been using the AB Hands and loving it so much that I cannot wait to try these pads out on my face and neck.
Fusion Beauty Liftfusion Triple Threat Intense Target Magic Wand - This immediately smoothes out a small scar line that I have on my wrist. I cannot wait to give this a try on my wrinkles that need major and quick help.
Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller - You have seen the commericals and I don't know how many times I have walked by this beauty at CVS. I have decided after rolling it on my hand I ned to pick this one up soon.
Zelens Skin Science Intensive Triple Action Eye Cream - I was strolling the aisles with Erika from MakeupBag.net and she insists that I need to get my hands on this eye cream, which I will be doing per her recommendation right away.
Clairol Perfect 10 by Nice 'n Easy - I don't know why I have not tried this hair coloring system out yet, but the next time I need to do a full color I plan ion trying this one out.
T3 Refresh Volumizing Dry Shampoo - I have never tried a dry shampoo yet, but as I watched Lianne from The Makeup Girl apply this to herself right then and there, I knew I needed to give this a try next time I have a "I don't have time to wash my hair" day.
Make Up For Ever Smoky Mascara - The names Make Up For Ever coupled with Smokey and Mascara makes me want to get this on my lashes NOW.
CARGO Cosmetics Blu-RayTM Pressed Powder - The way that this powder slid its way over my hand and diminished the look of their dryness had me sold from the get go. I cannot wait to get this powder on my face.
mally BEAUTY Liquid Light Eye Brightener - The uniqueness of this product and the way it instantly lightened and brightened on my hand makes me not wait to try this out.
Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder - This powder has caught me eye before and many beauty bloggers seem to rave about it as well. Erika also said that I needed to get to trying this powder as it is one of her favorites.
DuWop Prime Venom - This is designed to work under any lip product to not only pump the lips like the original Lip Venom, but to prime the lips as well.
I cannot wait to experience the products listed above and will report back to you after giving them a test out.
Equally as fun, you as a consumer will be able to experience these products and learn which products are today’s best investments.
