For the most gorgeous rose gold shimmer like no other, you need to try this powder.

Not only does Jane Iredale make some of the best mineral powders out there, her 24 Karat Gold Dust Powders go above and beyond "ordinary" mineral makeup. These beauties are really in a class on their own.

My favorite shade is Rose Gold. This is the perfect light pink, shimmery gold powder that glides on so beautifully. The shimmer is subtle, but buildable at the same time.

If you want more shimmer, add on a few layers without having to worry about the color deepening too much. Or just sweep it on over cheekbones and the bridge of your nose as a final golden touch. I love to use it that way, especially when trying to "warm" my look up in the colder months. Another one of my favorite tricks is to mix this mineral powder with a bit of clear lip balm or gloss for a beautiful lip color - like no other.

24 Karat Powder is so very easy to work with and really can be used however you wish. You can dust some over your shoulders, into your hair, use it as an eyeshadow, as a blush, or as a finishing powder or gloss as I suggested.

My Miracle Minerals: Prescriptives All Skins Mineral Makeup.

Prescriptives All Skins Mineral Makeup is a miracle product for me. Why a miracle? Because this mineral makeup is not making me itch. I have so wanted to wear loose mineral makeup. Not for the extra time it takes to apply or the mess that can be involved. I wanted to wear a mineral makeup that looks like my skin, without heavy foundation covering all of my freckles and age spots. With natural sunscreen coverage and all the benefits that come from the naturally occurring properties in the minerals themselves. And now I have it - my miracle minerals!

I am not itching! I am not itching! There is no redness involved either. That happens when I try some brands of mineral foundations, along with the awful itch that I get which tends to get worse in the heat or when I sweat. 

So, I have only been experimenting with this makeup for a few days now. But it has been hot, and I have been sweating a bit. And this is lasting through all of the that without any the usual side effects I get. The first day I used it, I noticed that my skin felt felt a bit dry, or tight around my mouth and eyes, but that was easily remedied with me using a day cream instead of my usual day lotion. Not a big deal at all. I cannot tell you how thrilled I am.

Prescriptives All Skins Mineral Makeup has a natural SPF 15 built in with countless vitamins, minerals and gems. The powerful combination makes skin look naturally radiant and unbelievably healthy. Somehow I got lucky with my color which is a Level 3 Warm Light. It totally blends with my faux-tan and now I need to wait until it fades to find the perfect shade to match my real skin. You know I will be heading to the counter for that because there is a full range of 18 shades that can probably match just about any skin shades, from the very lightest to very dark.

Thank you Prescriptives! Your mineral makeup is truly a miracle product for someone with sensitive skin like me. Maybe that is why you called it All Skins?

A New View from MAC.

The last of the new collections from MAC is New View. This is the creme de la creme of them all, with the most beautiful skin softening powder that goes on light and sheer to perfect the face. While I am not a fan of traditional loose mineral foundation powders, this is a very different powder.  New View is perfect to use over a foundation or bare moisturized face to lighten, brighten, smoothe and even out - all while making your face appear to glow in soft focus.

This one is similar to the mineralize shadows of Electroflash is in they are double sided. One side is more matte, which should be applied to the whole face, while using the other more shimmery side to highlight where needed. Beautiful!
