A Good Idea, but...

be_lips.jpgBare Escentuals has created a lip palette for your every mood. Basically, what this means is that the palette contains five pearlized shades to change your lipstick.

Unfortunately, these adjusters don't do more than lighten your lipstick by adding a lustre pearl finish to it. And with most of my lipsticks, no matter which "mood" shade I chose, the result was basically the same.

I think I will give up on the mood idea, and continue to alter my lipstick appearance with my many tubes of lip glosses, as I have done for years.

A good idea, but not enough of difference to make it a winner for me.

At a party yesterday, a beautiful friend of mine shared her secret to smooth, pillowy lips.

Every week, she brushes her lips with a firm tooth brush. Not a fancy one, but a cheap store brand with short, firm bristles, and then generously applies petroleum jelly to them. She leaves the jelly on as she sleeps, and simply tissues off any remaining in the morning.

Whoola - lips that are soft, smooth and a bit plumper from the added moisture.
