Teen Beauty: My Secret to Staying Fabulously Fresh and Dry All Day!!!

Hey, it's Caci here with another edition of Teen Beauty on Beautiful Makeup Search.

With these dog days of summer and us in a heat-wave - FINALLY - I have a major SECRET to share with you. Well, you know how girls, especially in our teenage years, we get all sweaty and gross no matter how hard we try to stay dry? Yeah - I have tried so many tricks to making my deodorant to last all day and it NEVER works. Until now though.

I have found it, girls... the perfect deodorant. It is Secret Clinical Strength WATERPROOF Deodorant. I am a HUGE FAN of the Regular Secret Clinical Deodorant, but I apply it a few times in the day, especially in the summer after swimming and playing basketball out in the hot, hot humidity. Secret Waterproof has me dry ALL DAY. It stays on through all my daily summertime activities. It is a MUST HAVE for summer - and really, probably all through the year.

The trick to this Secret Waterproof Deodorant is to apply it at bedtime. I usually shower at night, and I apply the deodorant then. I re-apply it in the morning before I get dressed, and then I am good to go for the entire day. REALLY! I can practice some B-Ball outside in the morning, go about my day relaxing in the pool, and then even play a 40 minute game of Basketball at night and still be smelling sweet and stay DRY. I HATE underarm wetness. It bothers me, and let's face it... it is embarrassing!!!

So, my little secret is no secret anymore. I would shout it from the roof-tops if I could. I am soooo thankful to have found this deodorant and have it in my life. It made such a difference, especially when needing to feel confident. Don't forget to pick it up at the drugstore for the end of the summer and grab an extra for back-to-school. You know how nerve-wracking that can be. (Just two more weeks for me - but I am glad I will have Secret on my side.)

Secret Clinical Strength Waterproof Deodorant comes in a perfect All Day Fresh scent and is available at drugstores and shops like Target and Walmart for around $10.  You can learn more about Secret and how this deodorant works by visiting their site online here, but all you really need to know is that it works - right???

Teen Beauty: Ashley Greene at theTeen Choice Awards!

Celebrity makeup artist, Vanessa Scali, made “Twilight” hottie Ashley Greene sizzle on the red carpet last night at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards.

Since Ashley was wearing a light blue bustier top and flowery skirt by Dolce & Gabbana, Scali wanted to create a look that was sweet, summery and sexy.

“I wanted Ashley to have radiant skin, so I used shu uemura’s new red:juvenus skincare line first using the Vitalizing Refining Lotion followed by the Intense Revitalizing Concentrate,” said Scali. “These products feel weightless and penetrate quickly leaving the skin energized, refined and radiant.”

To complete the look, Scali gave Ashley, the winner of Teen Choice’s “Fresh Face”, a beautiful shimmery taupe eye and a well-blushed cheek. To recreate Ashley’s look, Scali suggests you take the following steps:

SKIN PREP: Two shu uemura red:juvenus products were used: Vitalizing Refining Lotion followed by Intense Revitalizing Concentrate. These products really made Ashley’s skin glow, creating the perfect canvas for makeup.

UNDEREYE: Lancôme’s Effacernes in Light Bisque. It gives clean, fresh coverage.

FOUNDATION: shu uemura Nobara Cream

Teen Beauty: Hot at the Teen Choice Awards.

Hey, it's Caci. My Mom runs Beautiful Makeup Search and she is going to let me start writing a few teen related posts for her now and then. We both think today is a great time to start as they just taped the Teen Choice Awards and I need to talk about beauty. Who was hot... who was not. Unfortunately, it doesn't air until later tonight, but we can look through a few pictures now and dish a bit, can't we?

I think that Miranda Cosgrove looked adorable. I love the soft curls in her hair. Her makeup was natural and perfect for a girl her age.

Emily Osmet
looked beautiful. She really looks prettier than I ever saw her before. I love her hair pulled to one side and flipped back a bit. Her eyes are smoking hot. I can't wait until I can wear eye makeup like that. Her dress was really cute too.

Hayden Panettiere looked pretty in her pink dress. I liked her soft tan and pink lipstick to accent her look. Close-up, I think her eyebrows were too angular (is that a word?) and her eye liner and eyelashes were a bit over the top. Besides that, she still gets the hot vote from me.

Kim Kardashian - love her show - shocked with her new heavily highlighted blonder hair. It looks like her whole hair color is a bit lighter all over too. I wonder if it is for real this time or only temporary. It really looks beautiful on her. She never looks bad no matter what she does. But she really looks like a true California girl with her blonder hair.

Her darker hair is really growing on me. Ashley Tisdale always looks cute. I really like her smoky eye too and I like that it's done up a bit darker now that her hair is much darker.

Last, one of my favorite teen girls is Selena Gomez. She looked really pretty in this soft purple with really pretty lavender eye makeup. Her lip color looked like a really natural pink too. So pretty. She has such a cute face and it was nice to see her wear her hair curly then pulled back. Her dress might be a little over dressy for the Teen Choice Awards, but she still rocked it.

I will be back tomorrow with my "NOT" version of the girls that didn't look so hot.

Who was your "HOT" choice at the Teen Choice Awards?
