This is the year of lipgloss and I am thrilled. NARS is finally on board with a bigger and badder gloss that is so shiny; it has a lacquer effect with a comfortable feel. To say that I am obsessed with the new NARS Full Vinyl Lip Lacquer might be an understatement.

I have always loved lipgloss. When matte lippies took over, I was bummed. I was never quite into the matte lip trend. When lipgloss made its resurgence earlier this year, I was just about jumping up and down.

Makeup brand after makeup brand has been relaunching gloss in new shades and bigger and better formulas and as I said, Full Vinyl Lip Lacquer is SO good.

NARS Full Vinyl Lip Lacquer is different in the fact that it offers full-on rich color (opaque) with a super high shine. The shine is not sticky. It is thicker than a lot of lip gloss formulas due to its vinyl like high shine effect, but it is not sticky.

What I really like is how comfortable Full Vinyl Lip Lacquer is to wear. It is not a heavy formula even though it is thick and lips feel like they can breathe when I wear it.

The applicator is quite unique; it is double sides, but each side is different. One side of the applicator contains your average sponge tip, but the other side is a flatter plastic-y tip. The plastic tip allows precise application while the sponge tip allows blending.

There are ten shades in the Full Vinyl Lip Lacquer formula with one special edition Orgasm shades (a must-have for the Orgasm shade fan).

Most of the shades wore really well, with the exception of a few needing more blending at first and throughout wearing. Shades like Santo Domingo and Valencia didn't look so opaque at first and almost looked streaky, but as soon as I blended were gorgeous. Those two shades, along with Cape Town, are my favorite shades.

If you are a red lip lover and aren't afraid to show off a true red lip with lots of shine, Red District is a must.
